What is Fatty Liver Disease?


The good healthy liver contain a little or no fats, but sometimes there are some

3- increase of cholesterol level and triglyceride fats in blood.
4- overweight and obesity: and that factor is one of the most causes of fatty liver because of many people are overweight and having obesity disease.
5- some kinds of drug "if it used for along time" such as amiodarone, tamoxifen, methotrexate.
6- metabolic abnormalities.
7- galactosemia.
8- glycogen storage diseases.
9- homocystinuria.
10- tyrosemia.
11- overnutrition, malnutrition, total parenteral nutrition - TPN and starvation diet.
12- some diseases such as celiac sprue and Wilson disease.

Fatty Liver Disease Diagnosis:

1- Blood tests: to check cholesterol, glucose, iron, and triglycerides levels.
2- Imaging: by Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Ultrasound and Computed tomography (CT).
3- Biopsy: this way to take a small sample of liver cells to be analised.


Fatty Liver Disease Treatment:
There are many ways to treat fatty liver disease based on age of infection.

Earlier stages of fatty liver disease treated by curing causes first.

1- if fatty liver disease caused by overweight the the patient treated by losing weight slowly with suitable diet plan.
2- avoiding or limiting drinking alcohols as possible.
3- Surgery is an option in advanced stages of disease.
4- working out, sports can help significantly in treating fatty liver disease.
5- monitoring and lowering cholesterol and triglyceride fats rate in blood.
6- treating the diseases which leading to fatty liver disease such as diabetes, celiac sprue and Wilson disease.
7- treatment by fresh and organic foods because it contains Antioxidants and it can helps in controlling weigh.
